I started my career in children’s books at Disney/Hyperion when I was just 25. While at Hyperion I worked with some of the great editors of our time—Donna Bray, Alessandra Balzer, and Jennifer Besser, who shaped authors like Sara Pennypacker, Mo Willems, and Rick Riordan. I cut my teeth on drafts of their author’s novels while acquiring in a range of genres, with an emphasis on middle-grade and YA fiction.
After spending nearly ten years at Disney, I joined G. P. Putnam’s Sons (an imprint of Penguin Random House), and spent the next decade there as an executive editor. While at Putnam, I worked with both debut authors and experienced professionals, including Rick Yancey, Melissa de la Cruz, and Rachel Hawkins.
Now, I’m happy to be able to offer my editorial services via Ari Lewin Creative, where I’ve been working with private clients, publishing houses, and industry professionals since 2022.
I’m from New York City, and recently moved to Princeton, New Jersey, with my family, where I get to edit books in the ivy-covered University libraries.
